I was born (in 1965) and brought up in Ludhiana, just 315 km north of Indian capital of New Delhi. Though I showed in my early childhood extraordinary indications of excellency in fine art, my involvement with art was interrupted my family demanded me to go for a carrier as a medical doctor. But never the less I would keep drawing anything, which interested him.
Whether it was pastel portrait of Pope John Paul II in 1982 or graphite portrait of the brave American Airlines- PanAm flight attendant Ms. Neerja Bhanot, (in 1987) who laid down her life on - September 5, 1986, while shielding three children from the bullets fired by the terrorists and performing her duty and saving life of many passangers by hiding the passports of the passengers on the flight so that the hijackers could not differentiate between American and Non-American citizens.
In 2001 when the bug of art hit him strong he joined a local school and had formal training in drawing and oil painting.
He believes, "There is little choice in the matter of becoming an artist. You are driven to it whether you feel wise or not".
