Born on the 25th of January 1984, Nadeem Khan hails from the reputed school of Hindustani Classical music, the Rampur-Sehaswan Gharana. This Gharana owes its elegance to the great Mia Tansen, who was the court musician of the famous Mughal emperor, Akbar the Great. Ustad Inayat Husain Khan (1849-1919) was the founder of this gharana. This Gharana has been contributing to the needs of Hindustani Classical music for the past 150 years with names like Ustad Bahadur Husain Khan, Ustad Qutubuddin Khan (court musician and Prime Minister of Nawab Wajid Ali Khan of Awadh) and Ustad Inayat Husain Khan.
